"Calici" comes from old Latin - evoking the act of offering a glass, of something to be shared. It is a symbol of hospitality, generosity, and connection. This gesture defines our philosophy: to welcome, to share, and to bring people together.
A neighbourhood restaurant, wine bar, and Mediterranean specialty grocer - refined and familiar. A place to slow down. Our cuisine draws from across the Mediterranean: seasonal ingredients, vibrant flavours, and a style of dining built for sharing.
At the heart of Calici is our wine bar - a curated selection from France, Italy, Spain, and beyond. Bottles meant to be discovered, enjoyed, and shared. Great wine as part of everyday life.
Beyond the table, we extend into a Mediterranean grocery - artisanal cheeses, cured meats, marinated vegetables, olives, and pantry essentials. Rooted in the culture of aperitivo. An invitation to bring the Mediterranean home.

Company
It's the motto, the slogan, the thing that people say when they leave Calici. The calling card for all sorts to congregate - glassware, people, good food and produce. Nothing really planned, yet everything seems to go.
Multi-genre, Calici offers a sense of continuity - coffees in the morning, and while you pop in for the last minute bread for dinner, you might as well stay for a glass of wine.
The type of place where you come as a stranger and return a regular. The drop-in or the lock-in. Anything goes and it often does.
Elevated everyday. Yes it's a glass of wine, but the wine is better than most and the glass is a one off from the Calici pantry selection.
We want to talk to our neighbours - the shop across the way, the wine-dealers down the street, or the friend of a friend who's in from out of town.
Authenticity and unpretentious atmosphere is what Calici strives to create. What you see is what you get when it comes to the food, the produce, the people.
